Show was OK...but just OK
If you are looking forward to nostalgically listening to older fugee and AJJ tracks, this show may not be for you. AJJ started the show 2 hours late, besides getting rained on and listening to a lackluster opening act, as most other reviewers have noted. Even though I give AJJ an A+ for energy, I didn't enjoy her highly remixed and revamped versions of her older songs or reggae cover songs. The show was OK overall, and some of the song changes grow on you after a while. I don't think I completely enjoyed the manner in which she tried to breathe new life into the old, although I love AJJ and generally encourage artists to try new things, remix, and grow artistically. If you go expecting to relate to the AJJ from 10-15 years ago, you may be taken aback. However, the only songs she sang that remotely resembled the original tracks were from her unplugged album(s) - of which I was not a fan. So come prepared to hang out long before things get started.
